Architectural details include a curved wall and interesting shapes with soffits at the vaulted ceiling. Tile work in the walk-in shower and metal shelf supports provide beautifully designed and crafted details. Hammered copper lavatories, tumbled marble floors and Venetian plaster walls add to the creative effect. |
2006 DBT Silver "Remodel of the Year" Award, Kansas City Homes & GardensOverlooking a virgin timber area with a small lake, the client desired an outdoor area to feel like being in a tree house. DBT designed and built an outdoor room with two walls and a pitched roof. The other two "walls" are open at the tree top level. Windows in the actual wall are covered with custom working shutters. A slate product is used on the floor and as a fireplace surround. The room has a ceiling fan and another round window in the gable area of the roof. |
